This film deals with the topics of eating disorders, body dysmorphia and suicide. I wanted to tell a story about how ignorant greed can destroy other peoples lives. It is important for us to recognize when companies are capitalizing off of our insecurities, and creating new ones for us to buy more products to “fix” them. Impact is only a sliver of this conversation that we hope to continue having as we exhibit this film.

“The Day Of” is a story about love’s persistence when there is fear standing in its way. I wanted to tell this story through the lens of an outsider who only sees “right person wrong time” or some other simplified concept of a relationship. This film has been in the works for the last year and we finally screened it this past Friday. It was such a wonderful learning experience and I am so grateful for everyone who worked on this project. Thank you Conor and Sabrina for trusting me, thank you Wisdom and Kyli for your genius, thank you to the Martins Family for allowing me to use your home for this project, and thank you Andrew for helping me work through every draft.
