Our new research reveals a clear consumer appetite for nostalgia: nearly half of UK adults (48%) believe 1980s dishes are making a comeback. Leading the charge? The iconic prawn cocktail, voted the dish people most want to see back on their tables.
The challenge for this new generation (49% of 25-34 year olds are hosting more often than five years ago) is balancing the desire for theatre and occasion with modern pressures. As 70% of young hosts feel social media has raised expectations.
