the very thing that you hate - waitress is out everywhere now 🥃🍽️
time creates odd mutations, finds you in lonely stations… i’ve been thinking about endless cycles of inevitable recursion, forgotten pasts, and imaginary futures. the cover art to this song is my dad on his birthday (and my uncle charlie) sixty years ago in the American south. the second picture is me on my birthday eighteen years ago in vegas. it’s hard to fathom how moments just keep stacking up and soon enough you look at yourself in the mirror and find you’ve got a golden tooth, or a tattoo. or a broken heart or a new language in your head or a job in a field you didn’t know existed a few years ago. we all surprise ourselves, i think. we let ourselves down too, inevitably. some ways small, some ways big. you just gotta make sure it’s never too big, and to fix what you can, and accept what you can’t. the other photos are me with my dad. i love you dad, thanks for lighting my way on this path.
