Friends, a note of thanks and appreciation for your overwhelming support for mine and Jessica’s engagement!
We’re so surprised because we are already a together-forever couple and haven’t been shy about telling everyone that.
We realise now how this celebrates the brevity and beauty of life and how important is to ring the bell and celebrate what we have.
We’ll never know what would have happened if we didn’t order that second bottle of wine at lunch…
Our love to you all.

Wakey wakey Savoir Vivre! Our season preparations are nearing completion.
Somehow, our region’s beauty still bops on the back of the head every spring. Burgundy defines beauty ❤️
As we finished the day yesterday prepping the Savoir Vivre for the season, this guy rocked up. He needed some water. It turns out he’s not from around here. In fact, he’s Czech. And he didn’t start his journey there. He started in Patagonia, at the southern tip of ARGENTINA. France is his 36th country and he’s been going for 3 years 7 months. Only 2000km to go.
He literally has no money. Zero. Some repairs wiped him out. Just relying on people to help. He has some help 200km away so he just needs to make it there.
I gave him bread, two cans of tuna, some cooked potatoes, some bananas and €20 so he could buy some gas and a part he needed for his cooker so he can cook again.
Anyway, he just rode past again tonight so we had a beer. He spent the afternoon with an 85 yo Algerian he met on his way back from his gas buying trip.
An incredible human. Riiiiiiight on the edge.
