The Gadwall Minnow is a simple but effective pattern that you can easily adjust the depth for based on how large/heavy of a bead you want to throw onto the shank. As it starts to warm up here in Central Texas, I have started throwing on heavier beads to get deeper. Many thanks to cousin Neal @neal.dawson9 for taking to take these Gadwall ducks a few years ago. It’s pretty special to be able to source your own feather for tying your own flies.
