Today is Endangered Species Day 🐋🐠
We do this work because we believe in a future where orca and salmon thrive. Our beloved Southern Resident orcas are at risk of extinction due to dwindling salmon populations in the Salish Sea. We must act now to recover salmon populations for a healthy ecosystem and to uphold Tribal sovereignty by protecting treaty-reserved rights to fish for salmon.

🚨ACTION ALERT🚨 Take action for salmon recovery! Link in bio.
The process for determining federal funding for fiscal year 2027 (FY27) is now underway – and the Six Sovereigns (The States of Oregon and Washington, and the four lower Columbia River Treaty Tribes) have finalized their recommendations for the FY27 budget year. Like previous years, the recommendations focus on funding habitat protection and restoration, water quality, and upgrades to hatcheries and other actions that help salmon in the near term.
Now, we need Congress to support the Six Sovereigns’ FY27 appropriation requests once again, to recover salmon and invest in our communities. Take action now!
