Race week(s) 🏎️💨 Really happy with a “w” at the Mammoth 26k last weekend, and the fastest American men’s time ever run on the course (in some great company given who has run the last few years)! 🏁Backed it up with a 6th in 14:29 at Boulderthon 5k. Great race and great competition here at home 🎽 🔜 TC 10 mile this Sunday

What an honor to take part in the 1st Mountain and Trail World Championships! This combined four distances that had been independent championships over the past 50 years. Over 40 countries competed bringing together many of my long time friends and the world’s fiercest competitors. 🌏 I ran the classic up/down race finishing 37th. @iau_ultrarunning @usmtrunningteam @wmramountainrun @itra_trail #trailrunning #mountainrunning #amazingthailand🇹🇭 #teamusa 📸 @shitinthewoods

The Headwall Ridge is the most iconic portion of the Broken Arrow Skyrace, the exposed rocky ridge complete with stunning views of Lake Tahoe, a bolted hand line, and the infamous "Stairway to Heaven" ladder to the top of Washeshu Peak. In full, follow @wackera & @eli_hemming as the duke it out to the top of this iconic section. Remain this cool, calm and collected at altitude on the races high point and you're destined to have a good day. We can't wait for you to experience this in June! #brokenarrowskyrace

The Ten recap 🏁 A few weeks late. 29:06 for 10,000m. Ran 14:03 and ran a major positive split for the second 5km. But, proud to show back up on the track. My last track 10km was in 2013 when I was 24 years old! I’m still chasing my dreams. Thanks @revolution_running runners for giving me a wonderful way to reflect on this race. Thanks @soundrunning @wavelightrunning @simongrannetia for putting on a fast, great race!

Back to school 🏫 Spent the week in Hanover, NH at Dartmouth for Tuck: Next Step I’m learning new skills, meeting the business leaders of tomorrow, and even pitching The Trail Team for “Shark Tank”. Next Step: Transition to Business is a general management certificate driven by the needs of elite athletes and military veterans. My classmates have been inspirational, opening my eyes to their experiences (swimming a 10km race 🏊‍♀️ A typical 9 hour ballet practice 🩰 military intelligence) and exemplifying how hard work creates interesting, capable teammates. The professors have been incredible. Ivy League - who would have thought?! Excited to bring this knowledge to my next step. “Tuck develops wise, decisive leaders who better the world through business”

New watch day ⌚️ Suunto vertical 2. Same great features I have used for years with customizable run mode, downloaded offline maps, but this bad boy has a 65 hour battery life, a bigger crystal screen (won’t scratch) and titanium bezel. Bigger doesn’t mean heavier. Tested on my trail run today. Took about 1 hour to set up last night (downloaded all Colorado maps). Happy 90th birthday Suunto!

🐊 Gate River Run 2026 🏁 11th overall - 5th American Lessons learned: stress is stress - thanks Hans Selye. It was a very busy week mentally. I started a business professional certificate at Dartmouth, while finishing a sales training camp at Dream Team Network. But, my workouts have been going well and I feel like I timed race just right. Time for my 10th Gate River Run 💥 For the first miles, despite 70 degree weather and high humidity, I felt great. Controlled, leading the pack through a 14:30 5k. Just waiting for the moves to come. They came and I started struggling to hold on to the lead pack of 8 runners. By mile 5 I had been dropped. Here was the defining moment. I just needed to time trial, and run my race. To be “best of the rest”. But I just then realized how mentally exhausted I was from my busy school week. I just didn’t have the mental energy. I made it through a decent 10k, but crawled the late miles in the race. Another note is that expectations matter. A year ago I had one of my best road races ever, here in Jacksonville. So the bar was set - repeat that performance. So I’ll take those lessons and keep striving to get it right. 🔜 @soundrunning The TEN My Gate River Run Results 2013, 23rd 45:09 2015, 42nd 48:05 2016, 13th 46:25 2018, 10th 45:16 2019, 17th 46:30 2020, 13th 45:56 2021, 22nd 45:25 2022, 30th 46:05 2025, 8th 43:52 2026, 11th 45:21 Still #unsponsored
