MESSAGE TO AMERICANS Canada will never be the 51st state, but can be your number 1 friend. We fought in World Wars together. We defeated fascism and communism. We stand up for democracy. We have answered the call on fentanyl and on the border. We don’t want tariffs. Because we’re so close together, it’ll only raise prices for all of us. We’re a nation of hockey players. We know how to stand up for ourselves. At the same time, we know how to go for a beer together once the game is over. 🍻 The winds of change can blow through politics, but they’ll never change geography. We will always be neighbours. We should always be friends. 🇨🇦 🤝 🇺🇸

Good luck to the Niverville Nighthawks this weekend at the Centennial Cup National Championship. 🏒 MJHL champions. 3-0 at the nationals so far. Now headed into championship weekend with all of Manitoba cheering you all day and all night long. 😉

🚑 We’re training more paramedics closer to home. 🏠 Our government is creating 32 new Primary Care Paramedic training seats at Assiniboine College through a new rotating rural model starting in Dauphin. The goal is simple: get more people into the parts of the health-care system where we need them most. People have families. They have responsibilities at home. So instead of asking Manitobans to leave their communities to train in larger hubs, we’re bringing training closer to where people are. More paramedics. Better health care.

Sport builds confidence, identity and leadership … and Indigenous girls and girls everywhere deserve every opportunity to thrive in it. Through Mino’Ayaawag Ikwewag, we’re investing in the next generation of Matriarchs: 🏀 Blue Thunderbird Family Care Inc. — Building the Love of the Game, Ourselves and Each Other basketball program, nurturing young leaders through gym time, tournaments and community connection. 🏐 Sagkeeng Girls’ U15 Volleyball Team — 11 dedicated student-athletes heading to nationals in Calgary this month. 🏈 Sagkeeng Anicinabe High School athletes — making up nearly 90% of the Winnipeg Falcons Football Team, travelling 3–4 hours three times a week to compete, and recently recognized with a $25,000 NFL grant. When we invest in girls in sport, we invest in the next generation of leaders. To these incredible young women, we are so proud of you!

We can all agree that kids should be protected. Big tech and AI platform are targeting young people before their brains are fully developed. Manitoba is taking action by banning social media and AI chatbots for kids under 16. It’s about taking back control over our kids education, socialization and in the long term, taking back control of our democracy. 🇨🇦

Excellent meeting with India’s High Commissioner to Canada, Dinesh K. Patnaik, to discuss trade and economic opportunities between India and Manitoba. Churchill can help connect Manitoba products to global markets faster, from agriculture + critical minerals to energy exports. We have so many opportunities around aerospace, technology, and investment that our time together was only enough to convince us of the great opportunities ahead. Let’s create good jobs for Manitobans and strengthen our economy with more trade worldwide 🌍

Happy Manitoba Day! 156 years of being the ♥️ of 🇨🇦. Let’s celebrate by supporting local, enjoying the great outdoors and taking in all the art & culture that makes our province one of a kind. 🦬 Tag a local business that captures quintessential Toba vibes. + Thank you Constance Popp @poppchocolates for creating this Manitobar.

🚂 Every kid deserves a place where they can learn, play, and dream big. We’re investing an additional $500,000 in the Manitoba Children’s Museum to expand programs, enhance exhibits, and support learning through play for kids and families across Manitoba. Because when we invest in children, we invest in Manitoba’s future. 🦬

I won’t repeat the racist comment. What I will repeat is encouragement for young people to call out hatred and move beyond negativity. Unity is stronger than division. We are One Manitoba, One Canada, and one human race.
