You can’t have waacking without acknowledging the incredible legacy of Soul Train. It was more than a TV show; it was a movement that gave Black and Queer culture a spotlight, and it heavily influenced the club scenes where waacking was born. ✊🏾🏳️🌈
Since the 70s, this tradition has been about celebrating individuality, community, and just letting the music take over. There is nothing better than cheering for your friends and seeing everyone shine!
