“Openness and elevation”
Sliding doors are utilized to create a sense of openness to the garden. Details of elevation from inside to the garden could be responded as a surface to be sat on.

“Floating Kitchen”
The kitchen primarily consisted of a floating cabinet that’s designed to be easily controlled and maintained in terms of cleanliness. Moreover this gives user control to keep the kitchen free from insects and pests that’s usually dwelling under a typical landed kitchen cabinet. The backsplash utilizes glass finished with red lacquer paint. An electrical socket are featured with a push-on and vertical sliders that keeps the surface flat when not in use.

This extension occupies a formerly vacant backyard on the existing house. Serving as a kitchen and dining room, this extension leaves spaces for a garden dominated with calatheas which creates a lush atmosphere in the dining-kitchen space.
