New speedpainting timelapse just dropped! đŸïžâœš blazing through a vertical composition — built layer by layer from the background to the foreground. Old school speedpaint to relax at the end of the day. Lightweight hollow frame, maximum torque I loved shaping her silhouette against the rising colors and letting the details emerge slowly: sparks, reflections, motion blur, and that sense of wind and speed you can almost feel. The whole process feels like telling a story in reverse—watching an empty space transform into momentum and character. Such a blast to paint. Brand new evening relaxation old school speedpainting timelapse is up! âšĄïž This one is inspired by Dillinger’s Grid 
. pure graphic chaos and order colliding. I’ve been diving deep into those intense reds, burnt oranges, and electric yellows
 layering shapes, stripping them back, then building the noise all over again. There’s something endlessly fun about pushing Photoshop until it feels like the image is vibrating 
visual noise, or total simplicity, depending on the frame. Hope you enjoy watching this one as much as I loved making it. đŸ”„đŸŸ§đŸŸĄ I don’t even remember the last time I made one of these. Sharing another set of pieces from the various iterations of TRON: Ascension—long before the project evolved into what is now TRON: Ares. Over the years, the world kept shifting and expanding, and these images capture some of that exploration: newer Encom Grid designs, early research-vessel concepts (later beautifully carried forward by Paul Ozzimo), more environments developed for the Dillinger Grid, and even a TRON mech design that was part of the visual experimentation back then. Those early days on the Disney lot were a rare creative window — working under the brilliant Production Designer Darren Gilford, with Joseph Kosinski directing, and alongside incredible artists like Thom Tenery, Annis Naeem, and Paul Ozzimo, supported by Kristen Maloney. It’s amazing to see how threads from those early explorations still echo through Ares. Huge congratulations to the team that brought the world of TRON forward with such ambition and beauty. I had the chance to work on several iterations of TRON: Ascension years before it eventually evolved into TRON: Ares. Back then, we were a small team on the Disney lot, led by the amazing Production Designer Darren Gilford, with Joseph Kosinski directing and incredible artists like Thom Tenery, Annis Naeem, and Paul Ozzimo — all supported by Kristen Maloney. Here are a few of my early first speedpaintings for Dillinger’s Grid. It’s exciting to see that many of the design ideas, visual directions, and shot concepts from those early explorations still echo in Ares. The new film looks absolutely stunning: congratulations to the team that brought it back to life and pushed the TRON universe even further. ✹ Back in the game. Literally. ✹ After 15 years in the film industry, Dune: Awakening marks my return to video games (while staying in the duniverse)—and what a wild, beautiful ride it’s been. This was my first project where I focused 100% on art team leadership & management as associate art director—no hands on the brush, just guiding some of the most talented artists I’ve ever worked with. I was handed huge responsibilities: art direction for social hubs and early game environments, props, weapons, gadgets, upcoming DLCs
 and leading one of the most complex lighting efforts I’ve ever seen in a game using unreal and proprietary tools. đŸ”„đŸŒ’ 💡 Major love to our lighting dream team: Mica Olsson, Francois Gand, Ana Tornero, Cora Uijlenhoet, Mikael Akopian – you guys made a massive open world glow with style and clarity. 🎯 And to our Funcom North Carolina 3D art squad— Pat Nuckels (my foxhole buddy), Brian Barnett, Logan Thomas, Justin Hrala, and Michael Innis—you’re the special forces of game art.
