So I'm 6 weeks away from doing my first ever 10k (can you tell I'm approaching 30??)
I'm running the Great Manchester Run to raise money for the Christie Charity! As many will know my Dad was diagnosed with terminal Leukemia in September 2025 which he bravely battled until passing away just 10 weeks later in November 2025. Many other family members and friends have been affected by Cancer and I wanted to contribute my part in the amazing research and care that the Christie offer across the North West.
The Christie is the largest single-site cancer centre in Europe, the first UK centre to be accredited as a comprehensive cancer centre and deliver world-class cancer research.
Times are really hard at the moment but even just 50p makes all the difference and would mean the world! I've popped a link in my bio for if anyone can donate! Coincidentally, the race will take place over my Dad's birthday weekend as well so I'm sure he'll be watching Mufasa style waiting to give me a kudos on Strava.
