Apply to join us as the Writing Studio hosts a five-day Dissertation Writers’ Retreat, June 1-5. Our retreats are designed to provide dissertating students with a community of support and opportunities for goal setting and skill building alongside loosely structured time to work individually on writing projects. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
We also welcome applicants from graduate and professional students working on master’s theses and other advanced writing projects as well as postdoctoral fellows.

The Morgan Award for First-Year Writers
Help us celebrate your excellent work! First-year students are invited to submit their writing for the Henrietta Hickman Morgan Memorial Award for First-Year Writers, an annual competition coordinated by the Writing Studio.
• Any writing current first-year students (Class of 2029) completed during the 2025-2026 academic year is welcome.
• Deadline for Student Submissions: Friday, May 8, via InfoReady

Join us for our “Writing an Op-Ed: Addressing a Broader Audience" workshop, the fifth installment of our Spring Core Studio Workshop Series for undergraduates.
“Writing an Op-Ed” will be offered TWICE, starting TODAY at 6:00 p.m., in the A&S Classroom 335, in the Commons Center.
The workshop will return Thursday, April 2nd at 4pm in Writing Studio room 129, located at our main Edgehill location at Suite 112, 1801 Edgehill Ave.
