Acronyms compress. Ideas get distilled into something faster, cleaner, easier to repeat. And somewhere along the way, they lose their edge. We liked that tension. Because we’re not here to reduce ideas. We’re here to make them hit. Clearer. Sharper. Harder to ignore.

Last week we showed you what @errantcavalier built—a handheld tool to test analog and pixel LED lights. But why did we build it? Simple: necessity. We use LED across our installations, and testing happens constantly. But on a job site with 50 people all trying to do 20 different things, even finding power can slow everything down. This was about removing that friction. Something handheld. Something mobile. Something fast. Plug in, test instantly, and keep moving, without getting in anyone else’s way. Because the best tools aren’t about adding more, they’re about making the work easier.

What happens when you give a problem to someone who knows how to build the solution? You make cool shit. For @errantcavalier , it started with a simple challenge: How do we take a standard M18 battery—already used across our production kits—and convert it into selectable 5V, 12V, or 24V outputs? The answer became something much more. What came out of it is a handheld tool designed to test both analog and pixel LED lights, with adjustable voltage to support common LED power requirements. By integrating a microcontroller with intelligent power switching, Willy developed a fully programmable system—now in its V2 board and housing—that gives us precise control over how we power and test. It’s functional. It’s scalable. And it’s a direct reflection of the kind of engineering mindset we value.👏

When we started the rebrand, we had a good idea of where we wanted to take the brand. What we needed were collaborators who could bring a strong point of view that aligned with that direction — people who could help shape it, not just execute on it. We looked across a range of designers and studios, and Ruth Kim stood out immediately. Her work felt closely aligned with the kind of brand we wanted to build — not just in style, but in perspective. We’d worked with Ruth before and knew she brought a distinct eye and a strong point of view. Beyond client work, she has a way of thinking about systems and identity that felt right for this. Just as important was how she worked. This was a focused, nimble process — a small team, close collaboration, and a lot of iteration. Back and forth on design, layouts, systems. The kind of process that asks a lot, but also sharpens the work. What she helped build became the foundation — the visual identity, the color system, the type system, and the guidelines that define how Acronym shows up today. We’re really proud of what we made together. And grateful she was part of shaping it with us. Thank you, @kimruthh . This one’s yours too.

Sundown 1 is in the books. A room full of people who didn’t know they needed this and couldn’t look away.

The Acronym identity didn’t happen in isolation. The iconography was built in collaboration with the team at @giantantstagram — a studio whose eye for craft we’ve long respected. What you’re seeing here is what happens when two teams with a shared way of thinking get in a room together.

VTPro was the starting point. The work, the thinking, the scope of what we do — all of it grew into something that needed a different name. Say hello to ACRONYM.

When you’ve worked across design, strategy, development, and brand for a decade, you start to see the connective tissue between all of it. ACRONYM’s visual system was built to reflect that. Not to look a certain way, but to hold together across every medium and discipline we work in and how that has evolved.

Super Bowl week is one of the loudest stages in sports. We helped @gatorade create focus within it. An invite-only studio where hydration could be experienced, understood, and captured. The space was designed to welcome athletes, creators, and retail partners in a single orchestrated environment. Multiple immersive rooms. Guided journeys. Dynamic lighting, sound, and environmental effects shaping each tonal shift. Innovation isn’t just a product story, it’s an experience.
