📣 Speaker Spotlight: Allison Hooper | Co-Founder, Vermont Creamery
We’re excited to welcome back Allison Hooper to the VBSR Conference!
In 1984, Allison co-founded Vermont Creamery with her business partner Bob Reese, helping to introduce European-style cheeses and cultured butters to the American table. From chèvre to mascarpone and crème fraîche, her work helped define a new era of artisanal cheese in the U.S.
Over her four-decade career, Allison has been widely recognized for her leadership and innovation in food systems, including honors from Food & Wine, Forbes, and induction into the James Beard Foundation “Who’s Who in Food and Beverage.”
She has also served as President of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility, the American Cheese Society, and as founding President of the Vermont Cheese Council, consistently advancing values-driven leadership in food and agriculture.
Today, she continues that work through mentorship and innovation, including the creation of Ayers Brook Goat Dairy in Vermont, a model for sustainable, high-quality goat farming and a resource for emerging farmers.
