Street photography, storytelling, and instant printing on the streets of Aba — Day One of the Her Bold Tribe Bootcamp was unforgettable. 📸✨
We kicked off with a photowalk through Aba Market, giving the students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning and experience documentary and street photography, as well as storytelling, in real time.
Participants shot with Canon cameras and printed their images instantly on the street using the Canon SELPHY CP100 printer.
It was educational, inspiring, and impactful.
Hear from our participants and partners as they share their experiences and reflect on the power of photography as a tool for storytelling and social change.
A big thank you to our partners, @canoncnafrica and @photowakaafrica .
Day 2 .
We visited Ariaria International Market to document the industrial side of Aba and the hardworking men and women who keep it moving every day.
The goal was to show the girls how photography can tell real stories — stories of work, craft, strength, resilience, and community.
Through our lens, we highlighted the industrial heartbeat of the market while giving people a closer look at the process behind the famous Aba-made products and the skill, dedication, and creativity involved in making them.
Capturing the synergy between three icons isn’t work it’s art. “Colorado” vibes. Stay tuned for the process.#BTS #colorado
