đŽđš Italy has always been one of my favorite countries in Europe, with its charming people, mouth-watering cuisine, and stunning atmosphere. Every time I visit, I discover something new, making it my go-to destination. Recently, I went on a road trip through this wonderful country, and it was an adventure! Here are some of the lessons I learned along the way:
1. Quantity over quality - this was the biggest mistake we made. Trying to see everything in one go was impossible. We had to rush through some of the most beautiful places in Italy, like the Puglia regionâs stunning beaches, just to make it back home in time. Itâs better to focus on a few must-see destinations than cramming everything in.
2. Not booking in advance - we thought driving would give us flexibility, but we missed out on some incredible experiences because we didnât book in advance. Itâs best to plan ahead and secure your spots especially when youâre traveling during the high season.
3. Being always on the tourist trails - itâs tempting to stay in the most touristy areas, but we found that venturing off the beaten path led to some of the best memories. In Rome, we stayed away from the city center and stumbled upon a cute local restaurant where we met the locals and had a blast.
Nevertheless, I canât wait to go back to Italy again đĽ°
