I am SO INSANELY PROUD of this release! Working with @meanjesusva has been such a fun and awesome experience! Their stuff hits like a ton of bricks and Ianās vocals are so brutal. The guys are freakin great and have talent coming out of their eyeballs. Theyāre one of those bands where there wasnāt a single hiccup. They guys knew there stuff backwards and forwards which allowed us to take our time and dial in the best sounds we could get.

Another great night with @meanjesusva working on their new record! John once again came in and gave a phenomenal performance. Super tight to the click, hits like a freight train. We spent our time really dialing in the kit. I decided for the most flexibility to literally mic ever every piece of the kit. Have each cymbal plus my overheads miced up gives me so much control particularly for metal. The sounds we got are incredible. And a new thing I tried last night was the SM7B on the hihat which is now my go to for all my hihats haha. Itās thick and detailed but also isnāt as shrill as other mics Iāve tried.
Looking forward to laying down guitars next! šš¤
