I salute the colleagues at La Monnaie for being the first big opera house to take a strong political stance. Theatre is about who we truly are and what we stand for as a society. I myself am very proud, that the theatre where I work, to this day, has a Ukrainian flag flying above its entrance. And with this display on the facade of its theatre, Brussels can be very proud of its opera house.
