Established in 1885, Volvo CE’s Arvika factory is where large wheel loaders, frames, and boom unit systems come to life – powered by people, precision, and more than a century of production experience.
🇫🇷 Welcome to Belley, home of our compact excavators
Come behind the scenes with Clément as he takes you inside our factory in south-eastern France.
From 1.5 to 6 tonne machines, this is where our compact excavators are designed and built, powered by 450 people who take pride in what they do.
Part of our electric journey, including the latest generation ECR25 Electric, is designed for full-day operation.
Safer construction starts with construction safety – especially when teams are working around heavy equipment. Volvo CE supports construction equipment safety and safe equipment operation with features designed to help reduce risk on site: automatic braking support when reversing on wheel loaders, 360° visibility with radar-based alerts that can differentiate between a person and an object, and short-range remote control so operators can work from a safer position in higher-risk areas.
Real-time jobsite visibility can also support worksite safety by helping teams keep track of machines, vehicles, and visitors–in the cab and in the office.
Volvo CE is bringing excavator production closer to customers.
This week, the first EC230 excavator rolled off the line in Shippensburg, marking the official start of excavator production at our North American site.
Next up is the smaller EC210 excavator, with assembly set to begin in August and volumes increasing gradually into 2027.
May the fourth felt like the right time to bring this one back.
A few months ago at DreamHack, we had some very recognizable visitors stop by the Volvo CE booth to try our simulators.
Turns out, even stormtroopers need to practice their operating skills.
A greeting from Braås, Sweden – the Home of the Articulated Hauler. Since 1966, 100,000 machines have been produced here to help build the world we want to live in, marking 60 years of articulated hauler innovation.
World premiere. We are proud to begin the world’s first serial production of electric articulated haulers with the A30 Electric and A40 Electric in Braås, Sweden – where our articulated hauler story began.
Now, that story continues with our next step in electric innovation.
