AJA Green — Woven by the Forest
Some patterns feel composed.
Others feel grown.
AJA draws inspiration from Aja — the Yoruba Orisha connected to the forest, healing herbs, and the intelligence of nature. A figure associated with growth, restoration, and the hidden systems that sustain life.
This idea is translated into a directional, layered composition inspired by the internal structure of trees. Elongated lines echo the natural channels carrying water and energy through the forest — creating movement that feels both organic and architectural.
In Aja Green, the palette deepens this connection. The tone feels grounded and restorative, bringing calm energy and material richness into the space.
Hand-tufted and hand-carved in New Zealand wool and viscose, the surface shifts subtly with light and movement — structured, yet alive.

FJELL — Depth Revealed Slowly
At first glance, the surface appears almost black.
Then the layers begin to emerge.
Soft shifts of charcoal, stone, and muted gold create a quiet depth — like light moving across a Norwegian mountain landscape at dusk.
FJELL is translated from the original artwork by Borgny Svalastog, transforming painterly atmosphere into a woven architectural surface. The flat-weave construction keeps the expression precise and grounded, while subtle tonal variation gives the rug movement and presence.
A surface that does not demand attention immediately.
But continues to unfold over time.
Because some materials are designed to be discovered slowly.

Carpet strategy for modern offices it’s not one solution, it’s a system.
The goal is not decoration but creating a balanced environment that supports focus, movement and experience.
In this layout, we divide the space into clear zones and match each with the right carpet type:
– Open office & circulation → durable carpet tiles (performance + flexibility)
– Meeting rooms & offices → softer, more refined finishes (comfort + acoustics)
– Lounge areas → handtufted rugs (identity + atmosphere)
Tiles for performance. Rugs for identity.

We are proud to win the BIG SEE Product Design Award 2026 for our ECHOES collection by Kristine Five Melvær.
BIG SEE is a multinational design festival in South-East Europe, organized by architects and designers with an objective to give more authentic creativity more space and future.
ECHOES collection by Kristine Five Melvær, is a poetic rug collection inspired by the layers of life and the memories we carry. It consists of three hand tufted and 3D sculptured designs, each in three color combinations. Each rug weaves together stories, places, and emotions through geometry, texture, and color, inviting us to walk across a personal landscape of memory, presence, and legacy. This collection transforms the floor into a canvas of lived experience and quiet reflection.

PEBBLE — Rhythm Without Repetition
In large interiors, pattern is not only visual.
It guides how space is experienced.
PEBBLE is built on an interplay of rounded forms — layered, shifting, and softly defined. The composition moves without becoming directional, allowing the floor to structure space without interrupting flow.
In Pebble Burgundy, the palette introduces depth and warmth. A more saturated tone that anchors the surface while maintaining balance and calm.
Woven as an Axminster wall-to-wall carpet, the design supports high-traffic environments — combining durability with a refined, tactile expression.
Not static.
But continuously unfolding.

EIRA — Structure of Growth
Some patterns are not composed.
They are revealed.
EIRA is based on the internal logic of growth — the radial structure of a tree, where layers expand and contract over time. A quiet record of seasons, held within material.
Lines follow this natural rhythm.
Density shifts.
The surface carries both movement and stillness.
In Eira Green, the expression becomes grounded and calm — a tone that supports the structure without overpowering it.
Hand-tufted and hand-carved in New Zealand wool and viscose, the rug reveals depth through relief and light, creating a surface that responds to both space and use.
Not a visual motif.
But a system of growth — translated into form.

Defining Space Without Walls
In open interiors, clarity is not built with partitions.
It is designed.
At the Innovation Norway HQ, rugs are used as architectural tools — shaping social zones across multiple floors while maintaining a coherent spatial language.
Large-scale compositions anchor furniture, define areas, and introduce a sense of structure within openness. The result is not segmentation, but flow — where each zone feels distinct, yet connected.
At the same time, the floor becomes part of the identity.
Material, scale, and craftsmanship communicate values — quietly, but consistently.
Because in contemporary workspaces, the floor does more than support activity.
It defines how space is experienced.

FRAME — Pattern, Reframed
Some patterns carry history.
Others redefine it.
FRAME draws from the legacy of plaid — a structure rooted in tradition, later reinterpreted by fashion into something refined and modern. Here, the pattern is translated once more — into an architectural surface.
Lines shift.
Grids soften.
The composition becomes less about repetition, more about rhythm.
In Frame Green, the structure remains clear, yet fluid — allowing the pattern to sit calmly within contemporary interiors.
The hand-tufted construction combines wool and bamboo silk, introducing variation in texture and light. A surface that changes subtly depending on how it is seen and used.
Not fashion applied to space.
But pattern rethought for architecture.

UMA — Balance, Held in Form
Some designs are not defined by contrast,
but by balance.
UMA draws from the idea of duality — strength and softness, structure and flow. The composition holds a quiet tension, where forms meet, overlap, and settle into a calm, centred expression.
In Uma Terracotta, this balance becomes grounded and warm. The tone carries a soft intensity — present, but never overwhelming.
Hand-tufted and hand-carved in New Zealand wool and viscose, the surface reveals depth through subtle relief and shifting light, creating a material that feels both precise and intuitive.
Not symbolic in a literal sense.
But a translation of balance — into form, texture, and space.

Designing Contrast into Architecture
When architecture is strict,
the floor can introduce softness.
For the Oslo University College, the interior is defined by brick, slate, and a strong structural language. Rather than competing with it, the rugs create a counterbalance — bringing movement, colour, and a more human scale into the space.
Organic forms, inspired by the surrounding landscape, soften the rigidity of the architecture. Subtle shifts in shape and tone allow each zone to feel distinct, while maintaining a coherent visual language across the project.
At the same time, the solution is built for performance.
HD print on a durable base ensures the rugs can withstand the intensity of everyday student life — from study to social interaction.

A Moment of Focus Within Architecture
In historic buildings, every new element must respond — not compete.
At Øvre Vollgate 13, the architecture carries a strong identity: functionalist clarity, preserved materials, and a continuous flow of daylight. The intervention, therefore, had to be precise.
A single gesture.
Placed with intention.
The round Red Moss rug anchors the social zone beneath the spiral staircase — introducing softness, colour, and a point of gathering within a structured space.
Its form contrasts the linear architecture, while its material presence connects to the existing palette of brass, wood, and leather.
Not added.
But positioned.
Because in architecture, impact is often created
by one element — placed exactly where it matters.

AJA — Energy, Structured in Form
Some designs carry more than pattern.
They carry meaning.
AJA draws from the idea of the forest as a living system — layered, protective, and in constant flow. Inspired by the spirit of growth and regeneration, the composition follows a directional logic, echoing the vertical movement within trees.
Lines extend, structures align, and the surface builds a quiet sense of order and continuity.
In Aja Terracotta, this structure gains warmth and density. The tone brings a grounded, almost elemental presence — balancing energy with calm.
Hand-tufted and hand-carved in New Zealand wool and viscose, the rug reveals depth through subtle relief and light interaction, creating a surface that feels both precise and alive.
Not symbolic decoration.
But a translated system — of nature, structure, and flow.
