I've got this very handsome 1977 Technics SL-1100 for sale at the moment. It's got a few minor scuffs and general wear but is working perfectly having been just fully stripped down and rebuilt. The motor control circuit has been restored with many components replaced and readjusted to original factory settings. It comes with the original dust cover, which has been polished to remove scratches and factory teak plinth, which was an optional extra at the time. Great sounding, solid reliable turntable which will happily keep spinning for another 40 years. £800 (cartridge not included) Including 12 Month Warranty

This is without doubt the best system installation project I've ever done. Working with @units_ibiza is always a pleasure and Michiel has outdone himself with the interior of this discoteca privada in the basement of a house in Ibiza. The four restored Tannoy i12s sound fantastic in situ, complemented by two double 15" subs and QSC amplification. The dj booth has a Pioneer XDJ RX2 pair of Volume Unit restored MK5 turntables in matt black with gloss screen printed graphics courtesy of @technicsworx and another pair of Tannoy T12 as monitors. The bamboo screens on the wall are sound absorber / diffusers. Light and extra magic supplied by @aladdinlightsibiza It's a pity not so many people will ever get to see or hear it 😁

Please don't lick the contacts on your cartridge or headshell. Apart from being pretty gross, the chemicals in saliva corrode the pins and they end up looking like this and not making proper contact resulting in no audio in one channel or the other. Use a cotton bud and some kind of contact spray or alcohol

Final test for the restored Tannoy i12s before they head off to their new home at a client's house in Ibiza. I'll be following them quite shortly after to install the whole system and give it the ultimate test at the launch party!

I'm restoring an SL-1200 Mk1 this week. This beautifully refinished plinth is from Technics Worx. It will be getting a full mechanical and electrical restoration, a Fidelity Research FR-54 tonearm and is for sale when completed. The SL-1200 Mk1 has virtually identical performance specs to the Mk2, (Wow and flutter: 0.03% WRMS (mk1), 0.025% WRMS (mk2 / Speed accuracy: within +-0.002%) and has separate pitch control pots for 33 and 45 +/- 10% @Technicsworx

Musically, it wasn't my cup of tea but the rave on Regent St on Sunday gave me a renewed sense of optimism after the misery of the last year and a half. Even the Police managed to restrain themselves from attacking innocent people for once; hopefully the tide is turning Credit to @SubjectAccess for the amazing work he has been doing filming protests on the frontline for the last couple of years Ravers Take Over London to Protest Against Covid Restrictions - Abridged: http://ow.ly/NVPG50FkbnI Subject Access Youtube channel http://ow.ly/du8K50FkbnK

This pair of 1995 SL-1200 MK2 (stylishly demonstrated here by the Volume Unit hand model) were fully restored and maxed out with upgrades for HWK bar in Hackney Wick.

Tannoy i12 restoration. New ferrofluid in the tweeter and replace the electrolytic capacitors in the crossover. Absolutely dynamite
