Volatile Cycle are a drum & bass duo from the UK, known for their dark, dynamic, and groove-driven music.
Their sound bridges the harder edges of neurofunk with moodier, more emotive influences, creating music that’s both intense and immersive.
Formed by Dan Lawrence and Jimmy Chick in late 2011 near Norwich in Norfolk. Volatile Cycle emerged from shared roots in DnB culture and a passion for the genre.
The pair quickly developed a reputation for versatility — from deep, techy rollers to hard neurofunk — bringing an ever evolving signature sound.
Over the years they’ve dropped a string of releases on labels such as C4C, Evolution Chamber, Renegade Hardware, Ram and many more.
Whether in the studio or behind the decks, Volatile Cycle continue to carve out their place in drum & bass, blending technical production with raw energy to captivate listeners around the world.
