VOIDS moves into the Groothandelsgebouw.
VOIDS is getting a new home base. As of April 28, we will be working from the Groothandelsgebouw, right next to Rotterdam Central Station. A place full of dynamism and urban energy — exactly where we want to be.

VOIDS wins Special Award in Budapest!
As part of the international design competition for the Rákosrendező site, VOIDS together with Idefix Landscape Architecture en 4Plusz developed a master plan — and successfully so. We won the Special Purchase Award! We are incredibly proud of this recognition from the jury and the platform we were given. We see this award as a strong motivation for a new story of the city of tomorrow.

VOIDS DESIGNS ‘FRONT YARD’ FOR TOWN HALL & DE WINGERD TWELLO
Last week, we presented the plan for primary school De Wingerd and the surrounding area of the Twello town hall. The turnout was high, and the engagement of local residents, parents, teachers, and other interested parties was equally strong.
With this plan, the area will be transformed into Twello’s a future proof place. We focus on creating a green village square as the heart of the area, a safe connection for pedestrians and cyclists to the town center, the redevelopment of the school, a multifunctional building with community facilities and apartments, and a parking garage serving all functions.
Together, we are building a pleasant, strong, recognizable, and future-proof “front yard” that connects the village with the surrounding landscape.

BIG NEWS!
We’re proud to share that VOIDS, together with Idefix and @4plusz , has been selected for the final round of the competition for the Rákosrendezö Masterplan in Budapest.
Rákosrendezö is one of Budapest’s most promising brownfield development sites covering 149 hectares with space for up to 10.000 new homes and a mix of urban functions that can shape the future of the city in a green and inclusive way.
We’re looking forward working on our proposal in the next months.
For @_blauwhoed , we envisioned The M-WERF in Vlissingen: a green, urban ensemble where three distinct outdoor spaces—a courtyard, a square, and a garden—weave together seven industrial-inspired buildings with loft-like homes.
Across the neighborhood, we introduced a series of anchor points: characterful objects and interventions that echo the area’s industrial past while creating moments for connection. These elements ground the identity of the place in everyday life, making history part of the lived experience.

BRINGING THE LANDSCAPE INTO THE CITY | SPRENGENKWARTIER
In Apeldoorn we restore the original water system of ‘sprengen’ in a contemporary way for water buffering, giving biodiversity a powerful boost. This creates an environment where urban life and the natural landscape complement each other
MILESTONE FOR BEEKHOF
Beekhof is off to a flying start in Roosendaal: the permit has been granted, and 70% of the homes have already been sold. Beekhof will become the place where rural and urban living converge in Roosendaal.
VOIDS developed the landscape design after winning the tender earlier this year. We congratulate our clients, Alwel and Hazenberg, on this exciting milestone and are eagerly awaiting the start of construction!
