im so excited to share that i collaborated with @phonyppl x @softsidedrop !!! i cannot put into words how grateful i am for this opportunity 💖 as an black nyc native this is truly a dream ! if only my younger self could see me now. phony ppl’s music brings me back to growing up in the new york where every sound was its own form of music. their music has a warmth that i cannot put into words… you just have to listen for yourself 🥹

I’m painting my first mural!!!

This year has truly been a wild one… got hired as a full time architect straight out of college, became a grant funded artist, and now I get to add muralist to the list. I have never been confident in navigating professional and creative spaces or just myself in general. This year has taught me so much and I am actually v proud of myself and the work that I have done. I never thought my work was good enough for anyone to even look at let alone be on the side of a building. Ahhhh and now I get to share how I see the world with the city that I love. Baby kita would be in awe of where I am td. Shit kita from five years ago would be too.
Cheers to pushing urself to try new things, creating even when u have nothing inspiring you, and believing in urself (or just fake it till u finally do).

I finished and installed my first mural 🥹 I can’t describe the emotions I am feeling. Forever grateful for @muralarts , the black artist fellowship & and all the ppl who helped me paint this! David Rubin Land Collective is hosting a first friday series over the next few months, highlighting the creative endeavors of artists through the lens of landscape architecture. I’m honored to be part of this series and would be thrilled to share my art with all of you.
This exhibition documents the city as it is now, capturing its essence amidst rapid gentrification and constant development. The city transforms with every blink of an eye, and this is my current perception of it through my pastel tinted glasses.
I hope everyone who views this exhibition finds some type of a connection, whether through a familiar location, the feeling of a neighborhood, comforting colors, or warm textures.
Often when we think about landscape architecture we think of the physical landscape, however, there is so much more than just the physical.
The city is a collage of people, materials, memories, and culture. This is embedded into the landscape. The goal of my art has always sought to capture this intricate mosaic.
