📢 The LAST EVER Vocal or Version! After more than 8 years of dances, this one is the final Vocal or Version session. Join us for one last night celebrating the sounds that have carried us through the last 8+ years — reggae, dub, roots, ska, rocksteady and more, all played the proper way on original press vinyl. From the bounce of 60s ska, through the depth of 70s roots, to the sweetness of lovers rock, this is music that’s brought people together on the dancefloor time and time again. Over the years, Vocal or Version has been shaped by so many incredible guest DJs and MCs — each one bringing their own energy, selections and spirit to the dance. Massive thanks to every single one of you who stepped up and made these nights what they were. And most importantly — thank you to all the dancers. Everyone who came down, moved their feet, felt the music, and helped build something special every couple of months. The vibe you created is what made this more than just a night — it became a community. For the final time, we gather to celebrate it all. Come early, stay late — and let’s send it off properly.

Back to London ... and delighted to be making my debut at General Echo alongside NYE sparring partner Grace of Spades. Friday 9th January on the sprung dancefloor of Walthamstow Trades Hall, kicks off at 8pm. It must be around 7 years since I brought Dan and Matthew up to Glasgow, so this one has been in the post for a while! Hope to see you there!

Vocal or Version Studio One Special returns for 2026! Saturday 31st January, 9pm - 1am. Tickets on sale now! I don't usually have two dances back-to-back, or indeed on sale at the same time but January is only a couple of weeks away, and I have a trip to London coming up (playing General Echo Soundsystem on Friday 9th January 👀) - getting this one out there nice and early. Had such a good time doing last year's Studio One night, and a good number of you asked if it was gonna happen again this year, so here you go! It's myself at the controls for the full night, delving into my Studio One collection; playing the classics, some rare pieces and some S1 curveballs. Back in London this month for Carnival and delighted to be linking up with Ram Jam for their annual pre Carnival special alongside Mark Professor on mic duties. Friday 22nd August, 9pm til 2am, Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston, FREE entry all night.
