Big news! Google has selected our app to portrait the story of how it all started. Spoiler alert: In 2016 Gronda was just an idea.
The parents of our co-founder Valentin were chefs themselves. For many years he saw them struggeling to find passionate employees for their restaurants. Do you feel that?
His idea was to create a platform, that brings chefs from all around the world together, unite them in their passion for culinary art & knowledge – and offer them career opportunities. A platform that helps chefs to unlock their full potential.
Since then Gronda has transformed into the world stage of culinay content, and on this stage: the chefs.
None of this would have been possible without all of you — the chefs who are sharing their ideas and pushing boundaries of what is possible. We are proud to be a part of this culinary revolution and look forward for what is coming next.
Your Gronda Team.

Valentin is a member at Verci, and has invited us for a look in the beautiful family-owned hotel he grew up in.
After the wonderful tour, he welcomed the Verci community and we brought 30 founders and creatives there for our Austria Summit in March. The trip was full of love and Liquid Death and sauna and skiing, and we got a taste of the magic Valentin grew up surrounded by.
Thank you Chris Duncan for filming and telling this story of a beautiful place. @chris_dunc
Thank you Valentin and family for your hospitality and reminding us how simple life can be. @vleosch@beimaxpitztal
We updated our brand.
Today, the Gronda logo shines on more than 3 million devices. But it wasn't precise enough.
It had three problems:
1. Accessibility. Our main color was teal. On white, it was hard to read. For a professional tool, that's not good enough.
2. Food vs. brand. Teal is a blue tone. But blue is too strong a colour on a plate. Our brand started competing with the dish instead of supporting it.
3. Brand signal. Teal felt too technical. But Gronda isn't about tech. It's about food, built with technology.
So we simplified.
Ceramic is our new base. Inspired by a plate. It creates space so the dish can shine.
Charcoal gives structure, clarity and strong readability.
Teal stays, but only as an accent.
The brand steps back. The food steps forward.
We build for chefs who obsess over every detail. So we have to do the same.
Not a rebrand, but an evolution.
Every winter, a tiny Alpine village turns into Gronda's HQ.
It makes me happy to see the team fly in from four continents to my hometown Pitztal.
We spent the week reflecting on our 2024 achievements. We dreamed up big plans for 2025. And yes, we celebrated in true Austrian style at the après-ski bars.
Sometimes I think back to when we first started here eight years ago and can't help but smile. Good things take time.
Until next winter!
