After months of ideating and planning in collaboration with @themuseumofmodernart , this iteration of their Creativity Lab, inspired by the exhibition Ideas of Africa: Portraiture & Political Imagination in Africa is officially open! We’ve created a space to explore storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.
Through photography, creative prompts, and a curated library of photobooks, my @soulsinfocus team and I will be hosting workshops, photowalks, and an artist talk from April 13th through August 30th.
We’re kicking things off with our first workshop, The Printed Portrait, this Saturday, April 18th from 9–11am. Registration is required—link in bio 🖤

Pieces from my personal project “Hair Rituals” will be a part of the @monadnyc Black History Month Multi Media exhibition.
Hair Rituals will be featured under the theme: Crowns of Glory: The Politics of Art and Hair — Crowns of Glory examines Black hair as art, identity, and political expression. The works challenge beauty norms while honoring hair as a symbol of culture, resistance, and pride.
