Some people already know but I wanted to make sure I made a social media post so everyone can see, I made the decision to leave the studio space I was sharing for the past 3 years.
This decision was not because of anything besides financial reasons. The saying starving artist exists for a reason & lots of us have felt the world shift in the last few years with inflation, rising gas prices, and lack of raises to compensate in this shift.
I am honored to be able to be a photographer for a living. I love my job and I am thankful every single time someone hires me to capture their memories or creative visions. With the joy this job brings, there is also hard times like having to make this decision to leave the studio.
This is in no way the end of me being a photographer or going to slow me down at all. I will still be available to capture creative portraits, concerts, events, weddings and more. Moving forward I will be using outdoor spaces and renting spaces that the fit themes being captured. If anything, I am more driven than ever to continue being creative in more (and new) spaces.
Also last but definitely not least, a huge shout out and thank you to all of those who worked with me at the studio over my time there. This is just 20 photos of the more recent sets I captured there and even in these I could not tag every account I wanted to. Through all the good, bad, and everything in between.. my clients & friends are what made the space so magical at the end of the day. This is not the end but onto the next chapter. 💫
This is something very different for me, but may be the start of another creative outlet & service. This is my first video ever shot & edited by myself since doing photography seriously for at least 7+ years. It is only fitting that the subject that got me into photography, concerts, is what would be my first video also.
