OCZYSZCZANIE, to dwuczłonowa instalacja, a każda jej część, to zapętlona projekcja źródłowego performance. Część II, to hologram i instalacja dźwiękowa. Tu, performerka „zamknięta” w 7 cm projekcji, przy pomocy pryzmatu zbudowanego z plexi, doświadcza „shakingu” i daje upust nagromadzonym w jej ciele napięciom. Poświadcza, że człowiek, pomimo usilnych prób utajenia swej zwierzęcej natury nie uchroni się od odruchów. Praca powstała z myślą o doświadczaniu jej przez odbiorców.”

Supernormal is the term Harlan Hahn used to refer to standardized norms of beauty. In the video series, I pose in front of the camera and look into the lens, returning the viewer's gaze, in productions inspired by female film roles. Referring to my own fascination with the history of European cinema, I play the roles of women from films directed by men that also influenced my own perception of how a woman should look or behave. To achieve the desired effect, I support myself with post-production - I play with reality.

The interior of a camera obscura, its closedness, the reduction of stimuli, complete darkness, separation from the outside world, ensures withdrawal from it, enables mechanical vision, without the mind’s distortion causing the image to flip upside down.
I set up situations, in which each room was converted into a camera obscura by darkening out the windows and creating a pinhole in the middle, which allowed the sunlight to pass through. In such rooms, the viewer is placed between the inner and the outer worlds. They are the worlds of looking and being looked at. Distortion of perception by reversal of the photographic image makes us ask questions about which of these worlds we are looking at.
However, the aim of my work is not merely to present my take on the process of seeing, but also to depict the current situation of a human being - threatened by his own fears, the pandemic, constantly being observed - makes him change his way of thinking and functioning, and the borders between the private and the public are being blurred. Opening the windows makes it possible to observe, and creating a camera obscura makes it possible to peep out. Mutual surveillance, watching, and being watched find their embodiment in this project - one does not know if we are watching or being watched.
"The orderly and calculable penetration of light rays through the single opening a single camera opening corresponds to flooding the mind by the light of reason rather than the potentially dangerous dazzlement of the senses by the light of the sun. (...) Perception, the action through which we perceive, is not seeing... ...but it is merely an examination by using the mind”.*

Most of our life revolves around relationships with others. Can we somehow forget about it? I’ve found a gap in my family’s relationship and I decided to fill it in. It’s hard to face the absence so in the process of filling this gap you might find yourself making a snap judgement of loss and supplement it with excess instead. My father and I parted ways. I still want to find mine so I need to face the void that remains after him. I’ve been hiring seven men, all of them his age and I was testing how much can I get from them. With fun I covered up my fear and I strived for a full control of the situation. This time I didn’t want anything to surprise me and crash the world which I’ve just organized.

Connections are the study of mechanisms of how spaces resonate. These are synthesis of places’ fragments. These places function as shelters. Each of them is characterized by an individual frame arrangement and movement occurring in them. Collages of spaces are juxtaposed with self-portraits in which dear ones are answering important life questions on behalf of the artist. Shelters are escapes. Shelters are temporary. Shelters should ensure safety. Being in constant motion can also be a way to survive. Can you escape from perception?

Acknowledging hidden needs and attempting at their fulfilment becomes the departure point of Replay and repeat. The work ponders on expectations, satisfaction, and the possibility of enchanting the world. I wonder where lies the limit of presence and at which point reality becomes compensated. Participation and presence seem to possess higher value, yet the basic passive state tends to be more comfortable. Observation and pleasure stemming from passivity both dominate and subjugate the world. The work is about the hopes which can never be confronted with reality. The uniformity of persistence is contained by a zone of safety which leaves no space for aberrations. The images reflect the need for activity, the rejection of stagnation which nevertheless appears after all. They create a sense of resignation and emulate emptiness. I wonder what does it mean to be present and what is experience. I create static situations of suspension, a kind of waiting room – the reflection of attempt and longing which will never be expressed out loud. Mechanical forms substituting for action. There is no acceptance of pure immobility, hence I take half measures and trustingly await a better tomorrow. The work is an attempt at finding the relation between observation and experience, the accomplished and unaccomplished. Reality persists suspended in time and space. An attempt at recompensing for the lack occurs. I pretend that this is precisely how it was supposed to be.
