This was one of my luckiest encounter I've had!
While I was hiking down from Bachtel I saw a Common Kestrel, sitting perfectly on a dead tree. I've only had my 70-200mm with me so I slowly moved closee to the bird to get the money shot without disturbing it. Since also the sun was at a perfect level, I framed the Kestrel in front of the sun and closed the apeture to around f22 to get the sun exposed and the Kestrel aswell. This was defently a remarkable experience.

Very unique and with it's long red legs hard to miss. Like it's having it's own fashion show, this Stilt is walking in the water searching for small water insects. This bird is special and I'm very proud that I've seen it in Switzerland since it is a rare guest. Twitched it together with @louis.kernen

Normaly people go hiking when the sun is out. But me and @timroschli wanted the opposit. We waited until it started pouring down and started our hike! The Black Forest national park is famous for the moody, dark green tree colours and foggy landscape. It's easy accessalbe by car from Freiburg im Breisgau.
