This past weekend we celebrated my dad’s faithful service in ministry for 38 years, with the last 17 of those years spent here at Wesley Hastings Methodist Church. This church has been more than a place of worship to us — it has truly become family. You have loved us, prayed for us, walked with us, and cared for us in ways that words can never fully express.
Having our family travel from all across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia to be here was deeply humbling. Your presence, support, and willingness to celebrate and help with Dad’s farewell meant more than you know. It reflected the life Dad has lived — one rooted in service, love, and community.
My cup is so full. I am incredibly grateful and deeply blessed to be part of this journey, to witness the legacy of faith, compassion, and commitment that my dad leaves behind, and to share this special moment with a church and a family who have given us so much.
