In the first chapter of the (No) Margine films, 'Bisous Bisous', we immerse ourselves in the Basque landscape of Donostia to explore the intersections of faith, judgment, and the body. We chose @tokischa.sol because she represents a modern incarnation of the martyr. She is a voice that has endured religious and social persecution only to emerge as a defiant symbol of sexual liberation. By drawing a parallel between her journey and the arrows of San Sebastián, we visually deconstruct the sting of conservative suppression. This film is a tribute to the Queer and Trans communities who turn resistance into art. Donostia serves as the stage for (No) Margine because its history is written in the language of resistance. The image of San Sebastián, a martyr defined by endurance, has long stood as a silent icon of resilience for the LGBTQ+ community. By placing Tokischa’s radical liberation against these conservative roots, we confront the norms that still attempt to silence identity.
