👀 Did you spot us on @bbctheoneshow ? We were thrilled to welcome the BBC's film crew into our tower during Tuesday's ringing practice!
Being filmed for TV was quite an experience, but nothing fazes Westerham's 'star' Clanger, Margaret, who chatted away nonchalantly to interviewer Minah Shannon:
"I've only been ringing for about 40 years... There are people in the tower that have been ringing longer than me; they're just not as old!"
Combined with coverage of the young ringers from nearby Seal Chart and their tutor, Jen Thomas – a frequent visitor to our tower, it was a fantastic opportunity to show how inclusive and rewarding Kent bell-ringing can be.
Our thanks to Rev. David Fox-Branch for granting permission for filming to take place inside St Mary's Church. 'Bell Sunday' service is this weekend: 17th May; and you'll hear us ringing beforehand: 10–10.30am.

🎳 Happy 120th Birthday to Westerham Bowls Club!
At the May Fair on the Green on 2nd May, we had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Graham and Ann — flying the flag for one of our town’s most treasured clubs! 👏
Westerham Bowls Club has been part of this community since 1906 — founded by John Allen Hughes Esquire, with their very first match played against Sevenoaks. 120 years of bowls, banter and brilliant community spirit. What an achievement! 🏆
From their original home behind the Kings Arms on the High Street, to their current beautiful green at Costells Meadow — this club has quite the story to tell.
And the good news? You can be part of the next chapter! 🌿
📅 Open Day — Sunday 24th May
🕚 11am – 4pm
📍 King George V Playing Fields, Costells Meadow, Westerham

Ditch the Sunday Lunch?
We recently visted the newly refurbished @maevas_courtyard in Westerham to meet the new team!
Bright and contemporary was our first impression, but warm and friendly was our welcome.
We decided to choose a full English Breakfast ( just £11!) and we were advised that on a Sunday, you can enjoy a ‘Full English’ all day long! Along with a refreshing new menu.
The hospitality shown mirrored that of its previous owners ‘Ian & Tanya’ a much loved duo of the town. The new team are vibrant and positive about their new future in The Courtyard, showing the building and the new menu lots of love.
Why not pop down today and see the new look and meet the new team?!
Maeva’s Courtyard is easy to find just over the road from the CoOp. #westerham #westerhamkent #visitwesterham

📰 Have you seen the TN16 Magazine lately?
While we’re busy keeping Westerham connected online, our friends at TN16 Magazine are doing the same thing the old-fashioned way — and we mean that as a compliment! 😄
Every month, this brilliant local publication lands on the doormat of every home in the area, packed with features on gardening, recipes, local events, motoring, wellbeing and much more. No WiFi required. No scrolling. Just good old-fashioned print doing what it does best.
What we especially love is that TN16 gives charities and community organisations a free platform to share their news — because they genuinely believe that supporting local makes the whole community stronger. Sound familiar? It’s exactly what we believe too.
In fact, TN16 Magazine is a proud supporter of the Westerham Town Partnership — and we think it’s about time we said a very public thank you for that. 🙏
So next time that familiar magazine pops through your door, give it a proper read. You might just find something that surprises you.

🎡 The bunting’s staying up… and the party’s just getting started.
The May Fair on the Green was just the beginning. This weekend, the celebrations move up the hill.
Titseyfest — officially the Titsey Spring Festival — takes over Titsey Brewing Co. this Friday 8th & Saturday 9th May, and it’s a proper two-day event:
🎸 Two stages of live music
🍺 Fresh real ales & craft beers straight from the brewery
🍔 Street food stalls
✨ Hilltop light show on Friday night
👨👩👧 Kids’ entertainment all day Saturday
And the best bit? Titsey Brewing Co. is just 4 minutes from Westerham — practically our neighbour on the North Downs.
🎟️ Tickets are £28.18 — search Titsey Spring Festival 2026 to grab yours before they sell out.

What a day. ☀️
Yesterday's May Fair on the Green was everything we could have hoped for — glorious sunshine, hundreds of familiar faces and plenty of new ones, 30+ stalls, great food and drink, and a buzz on the Green that reminded us exactly why we love this town.
To everyone who came along and made it what it was — thank you. The messages and kind words we received throughout the day genuinely meant the world to us.
A huge thank you to our brilliant sponsors: Buddha of Westerham, Morley Gardens of Westerham, and Nicholson Roofing — your support makes events like this possible. And to our wonderful Community Patrons who back us month after month — you were there in spirit (and in practice!).
But the people we want to shout about most are the volunteers — Westerham residents who gave up their Saturday to man the fun stalls, pick up litter, and help set up and take down the whole event. This is what community actually looks like.
The May Fair is planned, funded, and delivered by the Westerham Town Partnership — but really, it belongs to all of you.
See you at the next event!🎪

🎪 Good morning, Westerham — it’s the day we’ve been waiting for!
The May Fair is on the Green today from 11am until 4pm and it’s completely free to enter.
Whether you’re popping down for an hour or making a proper afternoon of it, come and be part of one of the best days in the town’s calendar.
With over 30 stalls, live music all afternoon, fairground rides, Marli the Magician, a craft fair and art gallery in the John Fryth Room, great food and drink, and the kind of warm, friendly atmosphere that only Westerham can deliver — there really is no better place to be today.
Spread the word, bring the family and we’ll see you on the Green. 🌿 #westerham #westerhamkent #visitwesterham #lovewesterham
🎪 It’s tomorrow — and we can’t wait.
The Westerham May Fair returns to the Green this Saturday 2nd May, 11am–4pm. Free entry, as always.
This is one of those days that reminds you exactly why Westerham is such a special place. The Green comes alive, familiar faces are everywhere, and there’s genuinely something for everyone.
Grab a Squerryes sparkling wine or a Scouts burger, pick up something lovely from Hawkhurst Lavender, Freddie’s Cheeses, Caribbean Caz or Caroline Williams’s beautiful silver jewellery. Browse Pinned with Love for vintage finds, discover Jen’s Vegan Monkey Bakes before they sell out — and they will — and don’t miss the Horticultural Society if you’re after plants for the garden.
Over in the John Fryth Room next to the church, there’s a craft fair and art gallery running all day. Well worth a wander.
For the little ones — Marli the Magician performs at 1pm and 3.15pm, there are fairground rides, face painting, balloons, a coconut shy and the legendary splat the rat.
Live music all afternoon from The Masqueraders and Groove Stew. The new stage layout means it’s going to sound better than ever.
This is Westerham at its best. Free to enter. Everyone welcome. See you tomorrow. 🌿

🅿️ Coming to the Westerham May Fair on Saturday 2nd May? Here’s where to park.
Town centre spaces fill fast on busy days — but there’s a large, well-signed car park just a short walk from the Green that many visitors miss.
Darent Car Park (TN16 1TD) on Brasted Road has 97 spaces, an overspill field for peak days, and — unusually for this area — two dedicated free coach bays.
Whether you’re arriving by car or organising a group visit, this is your best option.
Pricing is very reasonable: all-day parking is just £4.10, with shorter stays from 55p. Pay by machine or use the MiPermit app (location code 743515).
From the car park, it’s a pleasant short walk up through the churchyard and you’re right at St Mary’s and the Green — the heart of the fair.
