I don’t know how much longer this would have lasted. Making a record is hard. It takes long hours, deep into the night, driving yourself completely nuts, to make around an hour of music sound consistently good. It’s expensive and inefficient. It’s basically outdated - and depending on who you ask and when they were born it probably doesn’t really matter that you even made one. Which is why it’s funny that I’ve never worked this hard on anything in my life probably, and to some people it’s going to only exist with them for an hour and then they’ll move on. For others though, for the ones that stick around and get something out of it, god willing, even become obsessed with it, I hope it moves you to make something. The same way that my favorite records called to me to make something. I think you can hear the DNA of all of those bands and songs in this. Our final single for the year, Low Hopes, is out now! Hope you enjoy this one. We wanted to cap the year off with one more single! I’m very proud of how this one came out, especially because it wasn’t the easiest one to get right. Kind of has its own vibe to it even though it’s a timelapse. Our new album is called The House You Built. It comes out January 23rd. To celebrate its release, we are playing @the_8_x_10 here in Baltimore with our friends @fetcherband and @_solidare the week after, on January 30th. It’s gonna be a very fun, very special night. We’re gonna play a long show, and there will be dancing afterwards. There will be a limited run of special edition CDs available, and I’m told tarot card readings as well. Additionally, we are doing a limited run of vinyl records, and a tickets + vinyl bundle is available to purchase on the Dice link. The vinyl with the tickets will feature some extra goodies too. We set up a Partiful that we recommend following if you’re planning on attending so you can get hip to text updates. If you’ve ever given a shit about us and you wanna see us play live, this is the show to come to. Just saying. If you are our friends and we know you personally, you have to come.
