#DYK Nottingham has a labyrinth of chiselled man-made caves snaking below the streets of the city centre?
Archaeologist Scott Lomax, who helped discover and document 1,000 caves beneath the streets of Nottingham, talked to the BBC about these incredible findings.
Lomax has predicted that by 2026 Nottingham would have "more than 1,000 caves representing 1,000 years of history", stating that no other city in Europe can rival Nottingham for the number and range of caves that it has" and there's plenty more to be discovered.
