Today, it stands as one of the most photographed spots in Cornwall, full of history, character and stories from years gone by.

💡 Did you know… life as a lighthouse keeper was no easy job?
Keepers would spend up to 2 months at a time isolated out at sea 🌊 battling unpredictable weather that could leave them stranded for even longer.
With supplies running low, some were pushed to extremes just to survive… even eating their candles 🕯
With no modern comforts and long periods of isolation, it was a life not for the faint-hearted. These remote lighthouses remained manned right up until 1988, when they were finally automated.
When asked what his job was, one keeper simply said:
“I kept the light lit.” ⚓️

Today, Friday 1st May, Jordan Darby took his very first steps from Land’s End on an incredible 1,200-mile journey to John O’Groats 🚶♂️✨
But this is more than just a walk. Jordan is raising awareness for men’s mental health and supporting @AndysManClubUK – a charity doing amazing work to remind men that it’s okay to talk 💛
Over the next 60 days, he’ll be sharing the highs and lows of the journey, showing that no one has to face things alone.
