Staying in Kanab puts you within easy reach of Zion National Park without the crowds.
Spend the day exploring Zion, then come back to Kanab for a quieter evening, great food and a good night's rest.
That's how you do Zion right!
Follow the canyon where the water flows.
Kanab Creek offers a different kind of hike. Cooler air, shaded sections, and stretches of flowing water winding through red rock walls.
Spring is a great time to explore, but expect to get your feet wet.
Start early, take your time, and pair it with nearby trails to make it a full day.

The photo vs the moment 📸
Shot inside the Great Camber, an incredible cave near Kanab that has a sand dune inside it. And the whole thing is HUGE!
We were lucky to have it to ourselves after a very fun 4x4 drive with @roam.outdoor.adventures . Thanks to my amazing guide JC, we managed to catch the exact moment the sun peaked out from behind the rock to produce a perfect sun star and light up the inside of the cave.
I also had sand in my hair for days after this moment thanks to my genius idea of throwing sand over my head before I jumped to create more texture around me 😅 regrets

It's peaceful, scenic, and a different kind of Southern Utah experience.
Great option to mix into your itinerary between bigger hikes.

Tucked into the desert just outside Kanab, Peekaboo Slot Canyon is one of those hikes that feels like a secret. Sandstone walls, twisting passageways, and golden light that shifts by the minute.
Best explored in the morning for cooler temps and softer light. High-clearance vehicle recommended to access the trailhead, or a guided tour.
Pro tip: Pair it with nearby trails to turn it into a full day adventure. More time in the area = more to discover.
Headed to Lake Powell this season?
Water levels are changing, which means new hazards, shifting channels, and updated no-wake zones. Plan ahead, stay alert, and keep an eye on markers while you’re out on the water.
A little preparation goes a long way—boat smart and enjoy the lake safely!
