The film honors the living Gullah culture of Hilton Head Island—celebrating its deep roots, enduring traditions, and future generations. Told through the voices of the community, The Spirit We Move With captures the resilience, creativity, and spirit that continue to shape the Island’s cultural identity and invites viewers to experience Gullah heritage as a living legacy.
