Such a brilliant day at the Ely Eel Festival - the whole city basically shut down to celebrate, and the atmosphere was electric. 🐍✨
The parade was a massive highlight, watching that giant eel wind its way through the streets with the crowds. It’s exactly the kind of thing that makes the Ely community so special.
Of course, the food was the real main event for me:
🥙 The incredible beef kebab from Maya Rainbow Cuisine (@mayarainbowcuisine ).
🥯 The iconic Smoked Eel Bagel from The Greedy Toad (@thegreedytoad )
🍫 A much-needed stop at the Chock Shop Brownie stall.
So much fun, great energy, and a proper showcase of what this city is all about.
