An audio drama to explore complex stories for young listeners 🎧

As part of Visible Fictions’ Working Title, Michelle Hopewell has been developing Sade’s Big Feelings — a 15-minute audio drama for primary school children investigating the experience of having a parent in detention.
Michelle is particularly drawn to telling stories that centre underrepresented and marginalised voices, and her project explores complex emotions through the eyes of a young girl visiting her mother.
In this reel, Michelle shares how Working Title has supported the project’s research and early development. More from our Working Title artists coming soon. ✨

🌍 HappyEarth Day 🌱 Every year on April 22, Earth Day brings people together across the globe to reflect and to act. It’s a reminder that caring for the planet isn’t one big gesture; it’s lots of small, ongoing ones. For us, as you might know, one of those actions has been expanding our grove with Trees for Life at Dundreggan Estate in the Highlands. To date, there are 309 trees in our grove, and they grow in protected sites, helping to restore the Caledonian forest. What began as a generous gift from our wonderful long-serving Board member Frank Brown in 2021 has become something we’re committing to year by year. By planting trees, we’re working to offset some of our carbon emissions. We know this isn’t the solution to reaching net zero - but it is part of Visible Fictions' wider journey. A way of taking responsibility while we keep looking for more sustainable ways to make and share our work. If you’d like to be part of it, you can help our grove grow too 💚 treesforlife.org.uk/groves/280276/ Our landscape of creativity and renewal. 🌿 Images: (C) Trees for Life. #EarthDay #TreesForLife #CaldonianForest
