I’m happy to receive the 3rd Ciutat de Vic Award on behalf of Anne Ferrer, co-founder of @rdt_anantapur , who has been my mentor and guide throughout my journey, in recognition of her lifelong commitment & work for the rural communities in India. 😊 It was an honour to represent her at the ceremony held in Vic, Spain, and speak about RDT’s work on her behalf. I also had the privilege of visiting the Vic City Hall and meeting members of the community during this meaningful visit. Moments like these are a reminder that solidarity and shared humanity can connect people and communities across the world. 💟 #AnneFerrer #CiutatDeVic #RDT  #CommunityDevelopment

Motherhood, to me, is not defined by one role or one narrative. It is deeply personal, shaped by individual experiences, choices, and journeys. At RDT, I’ve met mothers who are farmers, workers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, sangham leaders, and changemakers. Each of them carries a unique story, balancing different roles, ambitions, responsibilities, and aspirations with remarkable resilience. 🤝 Today is a reminder to celebrate and acknowledge every mother and mother figure whose presence, care, and contributions shape lives and communities in meaningful ways. Wishing all mothers and mother figures a very Happy Mother’s Day. 💛

Financial literacy creates confidence, strengthens decision-making, and gives women the freedom to shape their own future. 🌸 Across rural communities, this change is visible. Women are building livelihoods, running enterprises, and stepping into leadership with confidence and purpose through training programmes, financial literacy courses, workshops, and continuous grassroots support. 🤝 Today, more than 27,117 women run their own 27 cooperative banks serving 744 villages across 47 mandals, creating access to financial resources and opportunities for countless families. What began with awareness has grown into ownership, trust, and leadership. ✨ When women earn, save, and lead, families and communities grow stronger. 💫 #FinancialLiteracy #WomenEmpowerment #FinancialIndependence #Leadership

Some of the most meaningful learnings in my journey have come from spending time with women in communities. One among them has been understanding the power of sanghams. 🌸 Women’s collectives are far more than just support networks. They are spaces of trust where women speak openly, support one another through everyday challenges, and grow stronger together. Over time, these spaces become the foundation for confidence, leadership, and collective action. 🤝 Today, with over 93,400 women across 8,738 sanghams, this strength is visible in simple yet powerful ways: women saving together, creating livelihoods, overcoming challenges, and engaging with the systems that shape their families and communities. 🌱 I feel deeply proud to walk alongside these women and witness the quiet strength they build every day. ✨ #Reflections #WomenLed #RDTImpact #CommunityLedDevelopment #WomenEmpowerment

Today, Moncho and I complete 25 years together. Looking at these wedding pictures, it feels like yesterday. We were young, hopeful, and wanted to spend our lives together. Over the years, life has changed in many ways. But what has remained constant is us choosing each other, supporting each other, and standing by each other, every day. In the big moments, and in the quiet ones. Grateful for the life we’ve built, the memories we carry, and the comfort of having each other through it all. Celebrating 25 years together. ❤️ #25thanniversary #memories

Over the years, our approach to skill development has been rooted in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for people. 🌱 Among the initiatives, RDT's Kalamkari training workshop stands out as a meaningful pathway, with over 480 women trained in this traditional art form, and more than 150 actively practising it today, earning a stable income and contributing to their households. 🎨 From learning a new skill to believing in their own potential, each step reflects growing confidence and resilience. Women’s economic participation strengthens confidence, decision-making, and their role within both the family and the community. Sustainable change is not just about access to opportunities, but about the continued support that enables women to shape their own futures. ✨ #WomenEmpowerment #SkillDevelopment #SustainableLivelihoods #RuralDevelopment #Kalamkari

Equality begins at home! 🏠✨ Recently, during a conversation with a mother who told me she has two daughters, I was reminded of how important it is to say that with pride. If we truly want to see equality around us, it must begin within our own families. The way we raise our daughters and sons, with the same care, opportunities, and encouragement, shapes how the next generation understands fairness and respect. Small changes at home can become powerful examples for the families around us, and when many individuals take those small steps, meaningful change becomes possible. 🌍 #EqualityBeginsAtHome #GenderEqualityConversations #WomenAndSociety #SocialChange

Leadership is often discussed in terms of strategy, vision, and results. Yet one of the most powerful leadership skills is less visible: emotional intelligence. For many women in the workplace, especially those working closely with communities and teams, the ability to navigate emotions, relationships, and difficult conversations becomes central to effective leadership. During the eMDP in Women’s Leadership at IIM Kozhikode, I had the opportunity to meet @Sundaralakshmic , Principal Architect at Pearson India. What began as a shared learning experience grew into a meaningful professional connection. Recently, she visited the @RDT_anantapur campuses and spent time learning about our work with rural communities. During her visit, she also led a session for our women staff on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace. The discussion sparked thoughtful reflections on self-awareness, empathy, and how emotional intelligence can strengthen leadership in everyday work. Moments like these remind us how powerful it can be when professionals from different spaces come together to learn from one another. Grateful to Sundaralakshmi for sharing her time and insights with our team. #WomenInLeadership #EmotionalIntelligence #LeadershipLearning #WomenAtWork

This International Women’s Day, let’s celebrate the strength we witness in every woman. 💜 Across the communities we work with, women are reshaping possibilities and creating new pathways for themselves and those around them through collective effort, persistence, and shared purpose. 🤝 Being a woman and walking alongside many of them through our work at RDT continues to strengthen my belief that when women gain access to opportunity, resources, and collective support, they help shape a stronger and more inclusive future. 🌱 Today, and every day, let’s continue to celebrate the women who are steadily redefining what is possible. ✨ #InternationalWomensDay #RuralWomen #IWD #WomenEmpowerment #RDT
