A durational performance art piece at “Café NOTA”
He sat alone at dinner — a plate of spaghetti and meatballs under the glow of a single lamp — while the dancefloor swirled around him. Dancers laughed, friends leaned in to steal his attention, Emma circled as his server, but he remained locked in his ritual.
What unfolded was a study in isolation amid connection. Surrounded by joy and noise, his stillness became a blank canvas — inviting projection, discomfort, and humor. Something ordinary turned uncanny; a meal became a spectacle.
The tension stretched as the crowd waited for a twist. But none came. Just a man eating dinner. Until a cupcake appeared — and suddenly the whole room sang “Happy Birthday,” breaking the silence into laughter and song.
Inspired by Warhol’s hamburger and @woodstockwarrior ’s spinning-bike performance, Meatballs & Spaghetti transformed banality into something charged, playful, and strange. A reminder that even the simplest acts — eating, waiting, being — can feel monumental when given attention.
