The Long Rescue began filming in 2015. Over the past eleven years, the lives of our protagonists have transformed in ways none of us could have predicted. Their journeys have been marked by hardship, courage, growth, and extraordinary resilience.
As we enter the final stages of post-production, we are honored to bring their stories to audiences around the world and to share the depth, complexity, and strength of the young women at the heart of this film.

This sculptural piece that I made is part of The Performer series, which explores the brutal duality of queer and trans embodiment. Our bodies are too often dismembered literally through violence and murder, and symbolically through exclusion from society, institutions, history, and belonging. And yet, these same bodies become sites of spectacle, survival, glamour, and power. Through performance and adornment, we transform visibility into resistance. Even in death, even when fragmented, queer and trans bodies are made into spectacle—but we also reclaim that spectacle as presence, defiance, and testimony. The Performer asks what it means to perform while alive, to be performed in death, and to insist on beauty even under threat.
This piece will be exhibited together with other artworks from QTAPI artists for the QTAPI celebration at the Sentro Filipino, in San Francisco, last week of May until first week of July.

For the past two weeks, my mother has been helping me move my stuff to another location, driving 2-3 hours each time. Today was the 5th time she did it. She also brought me food and offered me money.
When I was growing up, I used to miss my mom a lot. She dedicated her life helping poor people like us through a revolutionary movement in the Philippines. She sacrificed her own convenience with her family.
I think this is the most precious thing I've experienced from being unemployed, it is to feel my mom's love and care. It's the greatest feeling...
Time has its own way of healing, and love has its own time of manifesting.
I LOVE YOU MOM Virginia Patalinghug. You are my hero, you've always been. (Watch her film on Amazon - "My Revolutionary Mother)
If you have any leads for video producer roles or projects, please DM me. If you'd like to share resources, my Venmo is Jethro-Patalinghug.
There's chance I'm going to lose my apartment because I can't find a job fast enough. I don't want to throw my sculptures away... does anyone have extra space? Can anyone accommodate any of these? Excluding my cats, lol! Help...
