I’m struggling
I tell people I’m ok, and I am…but I’m not
It’s not the quiet moments or being alone
It’s what I was left with
No matter how much I loved and accepted my body, it was “you look fit and toned when your clothes are on, but when they’re off..”
Despite my physical achievements and the times I pushed myself, I heard “I need a partner who can keep up with me”
Regardless of how confidently I say I’m ok, those words linger and breed doubt
I’m struggling but I’m working towards letting go of that narrative, positive self speak, and celebrating this body I’m in
Words cannot express how grateful I am to have a group of amazing friends who never make me doubt my worth but instead lift me up and love me unconditionally. You guys are truly the best
