Unstable, structured to evolve, not fixed, created with incompatible materials. This work introduces a collector-participation series in which the painting continues beyond the studio.
Developed in partnership with its collector, the surface will be documented as it gradually shifts over time, allowing material change to become part of the work itself.
Future works from this series are available by request.

This study operates within Post-Flat Expressionism, where images are understood as sequences: material, captured, circulated, and returned. The screen is not opposed to painting, but functions as a condition that compresses and redefines it.
A reconstructed Rothko field is approached not as an original, but as an image already processed through reproduction, seen, shared, and flattened. Repainting translates this altered state back into material form.

In parallel, the figural layer originates from a photographic image that has circulated as a digital artefact associated with @nadialeecohen and is reintroduced into painting as an altered signal.

Within the same surface, these trajectories converge. Identity persists as trace rather than subject, retained, but transformed through its passage across media.
The work collapses distinctions between original and copy, depth and surface, positioning painting as a site of continuous re-encoding.
