Dreamlike, surreal collage seemed fitting for the music. Some of the motifs include the multiplication of figures in a variety of patterns to create illusions.

This collage video is set over a song I created about 14 years ago with my wife on vocals. This was created at a time before I sampled and required quite a bit of warping on the guitar with effects to get unique sounds. This was also at a time when I was very influenced by the band Air and was harkening to their keys and acoustic guitars for the chorus. Crazy to see how much time has passed looking at old tracks I have done.
The video itself focuses on fracturing images and experimenting what visually happens when they move in different ways. Very similar creative process to making the guitar sounds but trading audio for visual in the production.

Always digged the trippy, dream-like quality of this collage. Some of the motifs include creating kinetic wallpapers with human figures and layering figures to get a kaleidoscopic appearance. The result ends up having a surreal atmosphere in each setting.

This is a snippet of the full length lyric video I did for the stellar band Packaging (@packagingmusic ) for their new track In Your Pocket. This snapshot’s intro explores fractal visuals by breaking an image apart and piecing it back together in a radial pattern.
This also explores using text to capture the energy of the song via rapid movement and variety. For this sequence I mostly created gifs syncopated to the track. A little easier to play with fonts in photoshop and automate the timing.
