Straight from the streets of Grajaú, in the outskirts of São Paulo, it’s Vini the K1d that arrives smashing everything! Raised in between an effervescent cultural scene, he was influenced from young to always have music as a driving force. And it was through this connection that started his journey as a DJ, and since 2022, has been attracting the underground crowd with his skill and talent.
Vini the K1d doesn’t limit himself to only one style. Constructing a diverse curation on his sets, varying from Funk Bruxaria to House, presenting a thorough research about the contemporary electronic music scene. It’s from this rich and authentic mix that the doors have been opening themselves for the DJ, who has now established himself not only in parties from his state, but also all over Brazil, stamping his mark in the functions from Paraná, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais.
His talent also doesn’t confine itself only to the borders of Brazil, showing its face by some international radios like Rinse.FM (France), on the show ‘Broodoo ramses Invite’, collaborating with DJ Caio Prince, also at Half Moon (USA), on the project ‘Brasil Takeover’, and on the show ‘Ruas’, by ruc107.9 (Portugal), where he utilized his space to incorporate a bunch of local artists from his hood, valuing and promoting the culture of the favela, and sharing the opportunities he conquered together by his equals.
Vini the K1d today adventures beyond the CDJs, trailing his journey into musical and cultural production, creating remixes and authorial works in collaborations with emerging talents of Brazilian Funk, like bieL onLine. The mission is to merge different electronic music strands, resulting in an unmistakable audible authenticity. He also is the head of ‘Baile da Zona Sul’, an event that already counts three editions on Grajaú, gathering highlight names of the Underground Electronic scene, like Caio Prince and DJ Dayeh.
