@hhh.radio is seeking out and platforming cause-driven artists — Next up in the booth is
@vinectomy ♥️
Detroit-raised heiress of Slavic witch fairies, VINECTOMY is a multimedia artist, event and music producer, and vocalist who brings an infusion of ethereal, ambient elektronika to Philadelphia. Vinectomy is a philosophy centered on the divine exploration of Slavic mysticism, infused with femininity and a political intent to decenter patriarchal tendencies.
V has played integral roles in the queer fairy-elf landscapes of Macedonia, Kosovo, Chicago, Detroit, NYC, and now Philadelphia. Whether it’s their club-going spirit on the dance floor or their curation of musical sound, expect a beautiful melancholia of wonder nonetheless. Their ominous aura transports music lovers from quiescent moods to an invigorating sensation of oscillating momentum. 🔮
Recently, V appeared on particle.fm (
@particlefm ) and launched a new event concept, Pneuma: The Vital Force. Working alongside numerous Philly artists and DJs, V leads with a queer-centric, community-focused approach. Currently, Vinectomy is working on their first electronic music release in six years. Thief first offering is the track accompanying this very post.
Vinectomy would like to support Ukraine Pride, an NGO that works to protect queer individuals impacted by the current war in Ukraine. Through this platform, Vinectomy brings awareness to the conflict, stating:
“We need to stay persistent through advocacy, research, and awareness of the many conflicts intersecting in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Many of my family members and friends have been displaced and directly affected by the terrorist acts and human rights violations of Putin and his administration. Every conflict we face today is interconnected, and it is our duty to continue reminding each other of the forces involved.”
Please consider donating to Ukraine Pride and sharing their organization with your friends and loved ones.
You know the drill. Tune in to
@wpeb88.1fm on Friday from 7-9PM ⭐️📻📡
