Join him, Connor Trinneer, and Dominic Keating for a talk about his 50+(!) year career, for which he was just inducted into the Emmy’s Gold Circle Honor Society.
He’s a Hollywood legacy too: his dad, Vince Deadrick, Sr., was a highly acclaimed stunt performer in the business… you all may have seen him in a little show called Star Trek (TOS)!

The news of Chuck Norris passing today hit me very hard. I knew Chuck from a young age of 18 when I started training at his Sherman Oaks dojo in the early 70’s. He was an awesome instructor and classes were always full when he instructed. Fun times and he was amazing. Then a couple decades later, we reunited on Walker Texas Ranger when his son, Eric, who was the stunt coordinator, would bring me down to Texas to usually get my butt kicked by Chuck. It was always a great time talking to him. He loved the stunt guys and girls and, of course, he was very much in his element when we had our fights. There will never ever be another Chuck Norris. He is missed.
50+ years in the stunt industry — and still inspiring the next generation.
Some moments deserve to be preserved for posterity. This is one of them. 🏅
Vince Deadrick, thank you for your membership, your loyalty, and the fun mention on stage. We’re honored to call you Brother.
We’d love to keep the celebration going with some praise and memories!

I’d like to share my acceptance speech from last Sunday’s venue when I received the Gold Circle Honors Award from the National Academy of Arts & Sciences (NATAS) at the Children & Family Emmys in New York City.
They made an innocent mistake on the intro video of me, which kind of threw me off at the beginning of my speech, but once I collected myself…..it just kinda flowed from the heart

Well, it took me 50 years to get a standing ovation, but keep swiping to see that video! The National Academy of Arts & Sciences (NATAS) bestowed me the Gold Circle Emmy Honor Medallion in New York City earlier this week at the Children & Family Emmys two night venue. Considered one of the highest honors with NATAS, celebrating a lifetime of work. Seven others were also awarded for their different professions.
Recognizing my career over 50 years plus in television for stunts and stunt coordinating starting in the early 70’s, it has gone fast and what a beautiful run it has been. The memories, the friendships, the stories, the tough times & the good times. And to everyone of you I’ve met or worked with in front or behind the camera, I thank you for being a part of this journey!

40th anniversary of MacGyver!
Enjoy this late 1980’s five minute ‘time capsule’ action highlight reel (sound on) from seasons five and six I recently found tucked away in one of my file boxes of old VHS tapes. To all MacGyver fans, this is sure to bring some memories back.
Note: There’s a short fade out after the slo mo sequence before the music ‘Jump’ continues from Van Halen.
The back story. I would put together and edit highlight action reels every other season and show it on a big screen at our huge wrap parties. This was painstakingly slow since this was before digital and lightning fast editing machines of today. I tied in the music beats with the action clips. Glad I made this because it holds many memories of our hard work that our awesome cast and crew, stuntmen and stuntwomen did.
Way before CGI, visual effects and motion capture, MacGyver was all real. It still stands up against time and I am happy and proud to have been a part of it as their stunt coordinator and also a stunt performer for the series.
Series went seven seasons from 1985-1991
The shows popularity continues through reruns today and is still considered a classic.
Would love to hear back from stuntmen and women, cast & crew that worked on this classic and anyone else for that matter! #stuntmen #macgyver
Wishing Vince Deadrick Jr. a very very Happy Birthday! (Sept. 14) Vince has been a proud member of our association since 1980, now going on 45 years! He was 19 years old when he got into the business. Turned professional stuntman at 23 and hasn’t looked back. He won six Stuntman Awards during those wild and crazy 1980’s and more recently, five Emmy nominations plus one Emmy win all for Outstanding Stunt Coordination. We were able to dig up some photos, plus two national commercials that Vince got cast for as part of the ‘Stuntman’, back in the day.
Vince, don’t get too close to all those birthday candles when you blow them out. We don’t want you to catch on fire without protection!
Happy Birthday Vince!

Sad to hear the news that Graham Greene passed away this week. I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Graham about five years ago on an episode of a show named ‘Goliath’ that we were both working on. Not only did I meet him, but we talked between scenes off and on for probably a half hour. Mostly talked about stunts and stuntmen that we both knew. He was very easy to talk to. It was a pinch me moment because I absolutely loved his work on Dances with Wolves. I’ve watched the movie 10 or maybe 12 times. One of my favorite westerns and his part was such an integral part of its success. In fact, Graham received an Oscar nomination for his role. I believe he deserved the statue.
Swipe to the next photo where I was able to get a photo with him and you’ll see I have that ‘star struck gaze’. So happy to have that memory.
